C6 Z06’s are bonkers but not as a primary DD.
I drove that daily for a year in Pittsburgh, also driving back and forth. That low, that stanced, still an awesome car. Buy one and I’ll hook you up with some Broadway statics and call it a day :tup:

the $3-4k it would cost to fix the vanos if they crap out on top of the poor mileage and other typical BMW repairs is kind of what deters me from an m5…but they look so good and sound even better

I drove Scott’s old one when jonny b had it. It was a pretty nice car. It felt pretty damn outdated though. Id have to get a 03 if I got a e39 m5 with the e46 m3 interior. That would be fucking perfect. That v8 sound is just ughhhhhh
Only downside to the Z06 is no targa top which would be really nice in CA
i totally agree. ive always wanted something in a targa but its not the only downside.
I think the fact that I would have to pull the heads and either replace them or recondition them is a pretty big deterrent
Agreed I was looking at selling the C6 for a Z06 before the next round of mods but doing that and having to do heads/cam right away + $$$$ rear tires, and no targa changed my mind.

It just felt it’s age. Old, sluggish and I hated the interior. Just isn’t a car for me that’s all.
