Just bought some Royal purple 75w90 and its rated GL4 and GL5 and i know your only suppose to put GL4 in the tranny? Is this going to hurt me in the long run?
also,
Not sure what the previous owner was running so im switching to the sythenitc, whats your opinion on changing with a tranny that has 220 on it?
As far as I know, that means it should be GL4 OR GL5 friendly.
So my guess would be it’d do the job just fine…someone else can confirm this perhaps (i’m currently running 75w90 Redline and it’s been fine)?
Oh, and yeah i’d definitely recommend changing it as maintenance and peace of mind.
I’ve been running the motomaster 80w90 GL4/GL5 and it runs smooth.
alright thats great, ill be switching it tomorrow. thanks.
1.8l just so you know.
i thought tha tranny needs 2.4L
IIRC tranny takes 2.4, diff takes 1.8
the nissan trannys don’t like gl5, it wears/eats one of the types of rings
use gl4 or a gl5 that specifically states it is safe for all gl4 vehicles
