So I was riding to work yesturday at about 3pm. Full gear plus my brand new Teknic Chicane gloves. Im going about 60 on the 290 with a white POS is in the lane to my left keeping pace. I pass the NFB onramp and a big black Dodge Ram is merging on.
He doesn’t look, just keeps merging into my lane. He keeps coming and coming and now I’m in panic mode. He is now over far enough that I can touch with my hands both the white POS and the Ram. Still panicking I hit the brakes and lay on the horn at the same time. The horn must have scared him as he hit his brakes too. I hit mine harder and get behind him.
I gather myself and pull up next to him on the right side. I must have looked like an old man cause I was pumping my fist at him and screaming as if he can hear me lol. He procedes to give me the “I’m sorry” wave and I don’t know why but this pissed me off more and I backhand punched his passenger window. Glad the new gloves have hard knuckles.
I got onto the 990 and was shaking the rest of the way to work. Everythime this happens I get so mad, I almost hang up the keys.

I know most of you don’t car much but you know the feeling when shit like this happens to you. You just have to tell someone about it to vent your anger.
Not gonna lie, I’ve always wanted to punch someone’s car when they do something stupid like that. haha. Although I would have taken the wave and been on my way.
edit so I don’t get an OT infraction: Glad you didn’t get squished, us CAGERS tend to look right through bikes. I keep a careful eye out though, don’t worry.
I get angry when people cut me off, but it’s expected, I’m a third their size. When I get cut off I usually just pass them (because I don’t want to be around them) and point to my head telling them to “use their head”.
Although, I did punch someone door before though. There was a huge line of cars and it was very hot out. I needed to make a right hand turn and everyone was either going straight at the stop sign or left. I cut down the shoulder going very slow when all of a sudden a guy in a minivan cuts his wheel and pulls his nose of his van into the shoulder to “stop” me. When I do stop he starts flipping out on me so I put my bike on the kick stand and punched a dent into the side of his door.
Was this the best thing to do at the time? NO, but if I woulda went down because of this guys asinine move I would have gave it to him.
I would probably freak the fuck out too. But I also wouldn’t just ignore it, or get mad at the biker if I had cut them off or just not noticed them. I always wave when I do something wrong.
I just realized, that there was no review of the gloves lol. Other than that you were happy they had hard knuckles haha.
