GN Motor in RX-7

saw this on eBay…dont know how rare it is dont care if its a repost…i thought it was pretty slick and prolly pretty fast…exhaust is lil quirky

not to shabby and yeahh i see what your talking about with the exhaust

its like a big U and V all in one

cool

That’s pretty F-ing sweet. I bet it boogies.

wonder what that will go for.

Awesome :open_mouth:

No, they didn’t do it this time.

It’s pretty cool but an aweful lot of work for 440whp. That 13b would make that much with proper fueling and a GT35 without breaking a sweat (and proper tuning).

440 isn’t huge but its certainly capable of much more. Plus thats a pretty light vehicle compared to a GN.

prolly has a much nicer torque curve compared to a rotary though

the rotary was never made for torque anyways, it was made to rev :stuck_out_tongue:

i will say i like this one more than the ls1 swaps tho

It’d be a cool swap if he had used a 5 speed, and not an auto…

i liked the GN transplant in the 02 granprix

agreed…i am sure they could find something to mate up relatively easy

theres a few of these around, all are very quick

I would love to have that motor attached to an 87 GN…sooo sweet!

umm… the Auto in these cars is super sweet, and you’d be a fool to use a 5spd to go fast, if you want to shift stick to the rotary

The engine alone in good shape is worth what that sold for, people are probably scared of the workmanship, like the soda straw exhaust.
