+1 for the security of AWD being useless when you’re running around on bald all seasons because you can’t afford the car and the upkeep. Used FWD Honda or Toyota, finish school and don’t be stupid with your money, and 5 years from now you’ll be in the financial shape to buy something you really want.
From what I’ve seen from your posts I know money is tight. Gas isn’t going to get any cheaper over the life of this car you’re buying, and AWD isn’t going to help your MPG. In terms of reliable cars a little Honda or Toyota FWD is going to be hard to beat for cheap transportation.
