Going to Kenya in a month

It’s just not worth the risk, there is plenty to see here.

It’s all good…I personally have a bucket list of like 150 places I want to see before I die, only like 4 of which are on US soil. lol.

Take lots of pics Ron!

Grew up in a baptist church (bethel baptist in getzville which I think combined with “the well” now). Church I go to now is non-denominational but probably closest aligns to baptist. Pastor was a missionary in Uganda for most of his life so lots of opportunities with missions whether its in downtown detroit or the other side of the globe.

It is insanity that people are still allowed to travel back and forth from there. Best of luck, be careful.

Cool! :thumright:

A friend of mines brother and family spent several years doing missionary work in Kenya. They loved it there. I think they’re somewhere in South America now.

Say hello to Barry’s family for me.

Lots of afraid Americans in this thread.

Damn straight.

Side note: Newman, you met my buddy who works at Lord a few weeks ago, small world.

To each their own Newman. After the military, I have zero want to travel.

Risk aversion/avoidance isn’t always a bad thing. If the potential reward isn’t perceived to be substantially greater than the accepted risk…why take the risk? To each his own indeed.

I am with trader. Do what you want (obviously) but I would not want to go.

Shit, I don’t even want to go to Texas right now.

I hope you guys build some schools or bring clothing or do something actually constructive and helpful while over there, rather than simply spreading religious propaganda

Is Obama going to send troops to Texas?

We get it you don’t like religion the same way you don’t like GM products.

I was in Texas recently and I was surrounded by people from all over the globe. Should I be worried about my current sore throat?:sb:

QUARANTINE BED

Shut the fuck up

i must be a real asshole if I’m remaining hopeful that this group’s goal is to do some real change, and not just be a globe traveling version of the door knockers at my house Saturday mornings.

Depends. Did you come in direct contact with their bodily fluids? Ebola isn’t airborne so the chances of contracting it in normal social settings are pretty slim.
