well after reading what everyone perfers for wax I decided to try Meguiars Gold Class Wax.
I didnt use any scratch-X or cleaner wax before hand cuz I dont have any. (but need some BAD) Needless to say the outcome wasnt bad at all!
Im def going to start useing this wax more often!
Just next time I’m going to try some claybar and cleaner wax before hand to get out some scratches and swirls.
heres the outcome:
that might just be the cleanest neon I’ve ever seen. good job
the surfboard wing needs repainted. the clearcoat is coming off in little spots…
I got a guy that’ll do it for a good price, so thats next.
i used to use gold class but I moved on
a good otc wax? mother’s reflections line, that’s my choice now. I’m not crazy into internet waxes yet

My last ride was black, and I was always impressed with the finish from Gold class… looks good!
Gold Class is one of (if not) the best OTC wax you can buy IMO
define OTC.
I probably know it but cant think of it off the top of my head
i guess you can polish a turd…
on all my cars i get “what do u use” … 4 dollar can of rally. if your car is buffed anything is fine.
Mother Reflections is pretty good as a polish. For wax I usually use Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax.
Pep Boys carried Collinites Insulator Wax for a while and I wanted to try it, but I can’t find it anymore. I’m probably going to order some over the net soon.

what do u use on ur wheels?
normally nothing, AMF coatings did such a great job on them that theres a SHITLOAD of clearcoat and they just shine…
but this time I used a very light coat of gold class wax

I saw it again today…didnt really hear it much…but I like it that way…4 bangers sound like doo doo.
with the muffler its very quiet… (surprised too since it has a longtube)
seems like its more powerful with the muffler on too :dunno:
Loss of back pressure without a muffler, probably hurting your torque.
