My Evo has always looked crappy, since the day I got it. Cory painted the front end, so that looked great, but it only made the rest of the car look worse. The roof had a bunch of pink spots where it was just faded from whatever. The drivers side rear quarter panel was down to what looked like just the paint, no clear. I never confirmed that, but that’s what it looked like. The door handles, around all the trim, all pink.
When I got my JDM rear bumper, it was two different color reds, because the bumper was taken care of, and my car wasn’t. So… today, I picked up a 12 dollar thing of Maguires gold class liquid wax, and went to town. I did one panel, and it turned red again! It was really obvious if I missed a spot, because any spot I missed would still be pink.
So, about 2 hours later, my entire car is the same color again, and looks great! :party2:
It kind of makes me wish that I waxed my car over a year ago, when I first got it, hahah.
I don’t really have before pictures, but I do know that TONS of people have seen my car, and commented on how beat it was, lol. Here are the pictures from just now, in my parking lot:
I just spent 4 hours doing the jeep yesturday, another :headbang: to maguires products. Buffed with 3m fine compund and then Maguires Swirl X and then Maguires Cleaner waxe… about to do my mom’s black forester later today
its meguiars not maguires… not that im perfect just letting you know. megs is decent for the price and average user. deff better products out there to be had.
sounds like your car could use some polishing to bring it back to life.
the wax will eventually wear off and your car will look the same, unless you plan on waxing it often
same with my trans am… my whole cars is red but my fender and front bumper turn pink when ever i clean the car so everytime i use that wax and it makes them match the car almost perfect
