gombos' 1991 eagle talon

jesse, you had the green 2g and then the car your talking about was the white 1g right? i’ve seen you and matt at the irwin cruise. i bet the 1g ran pretty good. did you ever get to run it?

Yea, the one I mentioned was the white one. I never bothered to take it to the track. My only real world performance values are logging 52.5 lbs/min and cutting 1.60s 70-90 sprint times. That puts the car at mid 11’s at around 125 based on a ton of other information on the DSMLink forums, but I’m not a benchracer and I don’t really care what it could’ve/would’ve/should’ve ran.

Maybe one day I’ll actually take one of my cars to the track :bowrofl:

haha i hear ya. seems like most people base their times on what they “should” have ran. i just nod my head and keep my thoughts to myself. your car looked like it was plenty capable of running that time though.

Yea, I think it would have, but again, I’m not really trying to make any claims. I build my cars for street fun. If it gets the heart racing, I’m happy

definetly nothin like it. if you can’t drive it on the street whats the point in even building it?

I log 47 Lbs. per. min. and ran an 11.8 on pump gas last year at the track. That was on 215/50/17 Riken Raptors (cheap street tires). So I think you would not be off in saying it’s a mid 11 car.

just thought i’d update this a little bit even though i haven’t really done much. primered the car and also made some aluminum door panels i still need to take some pics of the panels though.

thanks aj you start in latrobe yet?

Looks good dude!!

Looking good Gombos.

I think we may have a major 4G63 affiliation going around these parts. And they all seem to be being prepped for some serious AWHP!!!

haha thats what i’m thinking dan i can’t wait to actually have a quick car to drive again its been way too long

september 29th, major deal son haha

I want to see some door panels!

i’ll get some pics up of the door panels when i go home this weekend :bigthumb:

haha same day derek gets his license back

yah were all going to die

any takers on when hes going to wreck?

i can’t believe he made it this long, i only gave him a maximum of 2 weeks when he first got that car. maybe the only reason is because it’s just been sitting there haha

haha ya atleast the civic that lasted was the si.

hey i found a couple pics of the one door panel i made its not 100% finished actually i tried to roll beads in it but they didn’t turn out very straight since it was my first experience with that so i’m going to try to get a big sheet of aluminum from multi-metal on rt66 to make 2 more panels and to do my trunk floor with but this is basically how they will be but painted blackcherry to match the body of the car.
