Goodyear Wrangler MT/R

If anyone has a light truck and doesn’t mind spending a little more cash for tires, consider the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R. 32000 miles with sparse rotation, the best and longest lasting set of tires I’ve ever owned. There was even a staple and a screw in the tread of one tire (which was still holding air) and bad cupping on the two front tires when I got them replaced today, but I still can’t believe they lasted this long of a time.

on a ford thats always broke no wonder :grouphug:

nice street tire, no good in the mud though. Its west coast b/s like mtr’s that needs to stay out west

my old 4wd, i would get 50k out of a set of 35" bfg all terrains with lots of burnouts and other childish crap. they weren’t real good in the mud unless you had your foot into it to keep the tread cleaned out.

burnouts and shit are cool when you’re 16. :burnout:

i bought my first set when i was 20, bought my second set when i was 26, and i parted the truck out this spring. the tires were still like new

No, the perennially broken truck has Interco TSL Boggers on it, the MTR’s are on the “other vehicle”.

I :dunno:, maybe it’s because the vehicle wearing the MTR’s has front and rear fully locking diffs (not detroits, I mean locked like a spool when engaged) I didn’t notice any traction problems in the mud.

I have seen plenty of people buy them voluntarily for trail rigs here on the East Coast. It’s not supposed to be the best mud tire.

Come wheeling with us and you will quickly understand how the MTR’s bring the suck
