I recently mounted my front plate on hinges with stoppers so that it folds up with the wind at about 35kph.
Today i drove past a cop, and the plate was up, she turned around and pulled me over.
She walks up to teh window “Wheres your front plate?”
me: “Hmm, should be there”
She walks you the front of the car and sees it hanging there, looking REALLY confused. She looks again then comes back and apoligizes, said she was sorry for the inconveinance.
I was trying SO hard to not laugh.
Then she asked my for my insurance and it was out of date. ( didnt change slips)
oops
any way i thought it was pretty funny, thought i would share.
i have ducting where the plte is suposed to go.
then more ducting on the sides.
so i hung it below and to the left of where it is suposed to go, which completely blocks off the left side of the inlet to the rad.
so now it folds up and doesnt block anything
im sure she would have been really mad if she found out it folds up, cause i would have made her feel like an idiot.
then i would have been scerwed
Ya know, buy a chunk of bicycle brake lines and then hook it up to a
lever inside the car so that you can open it and close it at whim, without
having it sway back and forth.
mount it alittle higher, from the bottom of the plate, that way it wont get in the way of airflow, but you cant get around it looking gay mang, unless you somehow cut out your bumper and fill the hole with plexyglass and put your plate behind that… but it’ll still look ghey
