Grip Vs. Drift?!

GB2GT4

What does GB2GT4 mean? Go back to GT4?

Yea I don’t think too many people can argue with that that. I saw the same thing at the last cscs event.

Yea, but if you’re going around a tight corner in first on grip, and that same turn in second while drifting, it doesn’t necessarily mean if you’re going slower, even if your tires are spinning.

Drifting is faster but only if you live in japan, drive on a mountain and have tofu in the back of your AE86.

Grip obviously faster on tarmac/pavement lol… already been stated so whys this still alive? If anyones ever seen clay track racing they drift every turn, also good on gravel. I doubt its good on granular sand or terrain climbing. (I could be wrong, someone try to drift up an inclined plane for science, please.)

c’est correct

LOL +1

Anyways, you’re right about grip being faster on tarmac/pavement. It’s already been mentioned above. Some people are still idiots and think that you can be faster if you’re drifting through turns on pavement.

Actually, the fastest way around the track is to either:

a) convert your car into a hovercraft and drive off-road
b) add wings to your car and fly around the course

thank you again for another super insightful debate
