GT2871R on stock exhaust manifold

Internally gated. T25 flange.
.86 or .64?
Heard that .86 on a stock manifold is a waste? Is the T25 flange so bad?

Looking for 350whp-380whp on stock head and intake/exhaust manifold. Everything stock except MAF and injectors… How many PSI will I need on either trim for my power goals?

either turbo will do it with supporting mods but with a stock manifold and stock head you are not going to want to even try.

at that HP you should already have done metal headgasket and better studs as well as rocker arm stoppers.

in order for you to run 350rwhp with a stock exhuast and intake manifold you will need to have some excellent tuning, the likes of which cant be had in ontario.

i would recommend lowering your HP goals or getting step 1 cams and an intake manifold at least.

do not try it on the log, the stock manifold is a pos.

Like bing said, after injectors, and a manifold, your gunna need a new head gasket, studs, and rocker arm stoppers to run that kind of power.

aaaaaaaaaaannnnyyyywayssss

rocker arm stoppers have nothing to do with hp, and stock studs are fine. even the stock headgasket is fine to 400whp as long as you aren’t doing anything retarded.

S14 intake manifolds are actually very good and don’t have much of a problem flowing plenty air. The stock exhaust manifold isn’t the greatest but it’ll stand up to the task of 350whp without complaining too much.

The real restriction is cams. Now with VTC you open it up a bit but there still isn’t the duration you need for much more than 340-350whp

Me thinks a 64 will need around 19-20psi to push 350whp
an 86 maybe 18.

With cams there will be a huge power increase simply because at this point it really is the weakest link and it is very noticable when you take care of it, however cams + exhaust mani would make the biggest difference.

well frig if that is true i should be at 5u430860438whp having done cams, intake and exhuast manfolds etc…lol…

is it not preferred to make higher power on lower boost?

as in rather than upping your boost 4 psi you get cams, manifolds etc. so that you can run similar hp on lower psi?

well, I was thinking about a ebay intake manifold, but havent committed to it yet. I dont want to get it if I dont need it. Anybody heard of ‘MonstA’?

I got rocker arm stoppers, but like Sasha said, it’s got nothing to do with power. I’m getting HKS rockers, if that’s needed.

Cams and headgasket is on my wishlist, only I’m too cheap to pay for it at the moment.

regards to intake manifold the stock s14 manifold flows alright, it all depends were you want your power, longer or shorter runners. rokers not needed, rocker stoppers are nice to have in the high rpms. sr exhaust manifolds are not so good flowing, and watch out for e-bay dont waste your money on ss auto chrome stuff. cams are a good investmant. what size of injectors are you using? what are you running for ecu? what are you using for tunning? what maff are you running? need more info on your set up to recomend for your hp goals.

I had z32 MAF, now upgrading to Power FC with MAP sensor.
I’m running 550cc + adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

I don’t want to get cams now because it would mean valve springs, headgasket, head studs as well.

And I want to keep the stock manifold, I had a top mount T3/T4 setup before which I just sold, but my car is going to be a street car now. Besides, who needs a top mount when I’m only going for 350-380whp.
