Nope. Unpinned collapsibles are illegal in NYS. Might be different for a shotgun though. But on semi auto rifles you can’t have an unpinned collapsible.

It was pinned when I bought it. I “adjusted” it when I got it home, keeping it NYS legal of course.
It came with two extensions for the end of the stock. I swapped the smaller on for the larger one to make the rifle more comfortable. It was pinned with the stock fully collapsed. I need to get a little more length out of it. It’s basically a tiny hole that you can slide the pin in and out of to lock it in place. The down side is, you have to drill the hole in the stock, to place the pin, if you want to keep the rifle legal in NY.
