waht is your source for these ratings? i’m sure it was an unbiased report.
and why do i get labeled as a bush supporter? i voted for him and don’t think he’s terrible… not the best either… but i like democrats and republicans alike.
"The current approval rating of 42 per cent is the lowest for the sitting president in a national TNS/Washington Post/ABC News poll. Earlier this month, Bush also registered all-time lows in surveys by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, Zogby International, Ipsos-Public Affairs/Associated Press, Newsweek, and Hart/McInturff/Wall Street Journal/NBC News. Hurricane Katrina hit the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on Aug. 29. Officials believe thousands of residents may have died as a result of the storm and its aftermath. "
utter bullshit…
so i’m suppose to believe the 42 percent and then read totally 100% bogus ‘beliefs’ from officials. of ‘thousands’ dead… when the fucking death toll is just over 700 for the 5 STATES that got hit…
The death toll is now over 800, the belief of thousands dead is an estimate of total death toll, not how many dead people they have currently counted.
You are trying to discredit the 42% which conveniently is the highest approval rating of all the polls, by saying that you know more than the officials and you know that only 700 people died because you obviously waded through the water and counted them all. The 42% is his approval rating in THAT poll, that number is correct for that poll. That number has nothing to do with the number of dead bodies floating in New Orleans nor the price of tea in China.
One last thing
FILL IN THE BLANKS:
_________, ____________, and ___________ are things that bush has done well while in office and make him a good president.
Bill Clinton’s lowest rating while in office was 37%. I believe his highest rating was 65%.
Fact is, presidential approval ratings vary greatly from any given point in the president’s term or terms. A sample approval rating from one given moment of his tenure means basically nothing. Would you judge Clinton’s presidency on his one time approval rating of 37%? Would you judge Bush’s presidency on his one time approval rating of 90% (the highest approval rating of any US president in history)?
like i said, you’re angry you lost. the majority (only 50% + 1) won. if you want to win, you democrats need to get more people to vote. in our country, the majority of people are democrats. unfortunately, the majority of people do not VOTE. in 2004, with “diddy” attempting to get the college students to vote was this. of course most college students are liberal.
BTW, paris hilton please VOTE OR DIE… you weren’t even registered. please completeyour end of the bargain and DIE
Aproval shmoval. The most important thing is that we have a guy thats not a pussy when it comes to bombing Iraq, and doesn’t raise taxes on the little blue collar guys.
B/c bush caused the hurricane that whipped out the production in the gulf area for a few days, and the fact that some oil rigs floated off their bases and struck ground hundred of miles away. You think that an area were we get a good % of our oil on a daily basis was prevented from producing that % and you expect gas not to go up?
sorry but gas went up before that hurricane. so try another excuse. 5 yrs ago i remember paying 1.10 for 93 octane. now 5 yrs later bush is in office for 2nd term and gas was like 360. yes it maybe 300 bucks now but still its a gain of 2 dollars in his time of office…
Whenever Bush ordered the strategic petroleum reserves to be filled. The reserves have never been filled full before. This move is what started this upward trend in crude and they have shot up and up since.
the prices of just about everything have gone up. Because just about every company has to ship its products all over the nation. When gas prices double, shipping costs double, and the extra expense is passed on to the consumer.
prices go up cause of supply and demand. That is part of the reason that gas/oil goes up. demand>supply = higher prices. Then those higher prices trickle down to things like shipping, manufacturing, etc.
Gee, the fact gas prices in Europe have been well over $2-$3/gallon for over 5 years and those few billion rapidly industrially advancing chinese/indians/pakistanies now pumping gas into millions of vehicles have absolutely nothing to do with increases global oil prices and gas prices. It’s all Bush’s fault. And everyone knows a huge backup supply of a consumable good drives prices up, um, yeah, sure.
