ok, i got a little over zealous when cleaning my engine bay and got some water around the plugs and wires. like, i pulled the wires out and there was some water around the bases of them. it runs fine, then it turns into a wrx(sound that is). i’ve never had this problem for, whats the best way to get the water out? someone just told me spray wd40 around the plugs and wires since wd stands for water displacement. i just dont wanna accidentally make it worse some how.
First wipe as much water as you can from the areas in/aroound the spark plug holes. It sounds like you got water in the distributor, the plaugs themselves are sealed unless you somehow shot water into the wire/plug connection. Pull it all apart and heat-gun it gently until it dries.
yeah somehow the water actually got down in with the plugs, i had a bag over the distributor
Wd40 or silcone spray.
