Have any of you seen this?

Some of you might enjoy this, others might be sickened by it…

Does anyone know of any other such 240SX’s? I’m trying to get as much info as I can for my own project…I know of at least a couple others.

Thanks,
Brent

Another interesting project…does anyone know this guy? He used to be on 240sx.org and lives in Florida.

I stopped reading after “Real fast and very furious”

haha, i know one of those resident post whores

I was going to do that to my TII after I pooped the motor the third time…

Only reason I didn’t was that i couldn’t afford to have my car down for that long. :frowning:

With an aluminum, oil pan, heads, intake mani etc, it would have made the front end 100lbs heavier. That retains the almost 50/50 weight distro.

It would have been way too much fun to drive after the swap. Someday I will do it when I can afford and have space for two cars.

The 4.5L is a bit crazy (but I’m not knocking it), but I’ve been casually studying the possibility of a swap for a few years now and I don’t think the proper V8 would be all that much heavier than our KA. Aluminum block vs. cast iron. Strip out all the extra stuff, relocate the battery to the trunk for even better weight distribution, and an S13 with 50/50 weight distribution, 500 naturally aspirated wheel hp with skippad numbers equal to a Viper (for those of you who didn’t know, a stock 240SX has the same skidpad #'s as a Dodge Viper), for an all-around performer, which is what I want, this would be very formidable. With a widebody kit and a 5-lug conversion, we could get some serious meat on the road.

Christmas is in a few days…singing All I want for Christmas…

Any evidence to support this skidpad statement?

I have a n00b question:

what is skidpad #s?

http://overboost.com/story.asp?id=66

“In 1989, complete with its 195/65-15 tires, the 240SX was able to achieve a .88g lateral acceleration mark, which for all you skid pad nuts is well let’s say, “Viperesque”.”

Not exactly equal to a Viper…my bad.

put those same 195s on a Viper and we’d see a different number

C&D has different observations for the S13 than overboost

The Isuzu Piazza pulls 0.86g

S13 0.82g
S14 0.85g

Jelly Bean 200sx
0.88g

Plymouth Laser
0.84g

Pontiac Grand Prix SE
0.82

So why did you choose an S13 over a Piazza? tease

He has an s12

Numerically, that makes sense, but I have -no- idea what an S12 is, what was it’s American name?

shh.
