Have You Ever Added Up Your Car Investment Totals?

the only thing that fits in a neon is a cute scarf to match your purse

That’s funny b/c here is your post from this thread http://www.nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11507&highlight=invested+car which occured back in April…

So since April, you have apparently invested $3940 into your truck.

P.S. - to your great memory…

7500 for the car
700 for Koni Yellows
150 for Progress Springs
250 for Ground Controls
Free - Sway bar
500 - Brake Kit Including Pads and Rotors and Lines
150 - SAFC II
45 - Front and Rear Strut Bars
150 - Custom Exhaust
800 - 2 sets of Wheels

total = $10,245 give or take… more free or cheap mods to come

$0 invested.

I understand that any money I throw into a car is NOT an investment. However, i’ve thrown out much more than that on cars.

Hah. At least I’m not driving a car built by communists:lol: jk VW’s r cool:gay3:

To much, but cars arent investments, they are expendable income. (Minus the F40 and a few other rare autos). I have a spreadsheet for each of my projects, and I hate looking at it.

I agree, I never plan to get back any of the money I spend on my cars. but the 2 cars I listed, my wagon and my 240z, I plan to keep forever. oops I forgot $500 on a rear brake setup for the 240z. anyway, that thing once i put it together will be worth a pretty penny. nice shape with mods can go for ~$8k. and it will only go up from there as they get more rare (and i plan to RB it). the wagon will always be worth $, it’s one of 9 in the country. probably ~15k with the stroker and suspension and whatnot. so i’m happy. and the bike i bought salvage, so I got a $9500 bike for $3400, with probably $1500 invested.

i try to make good decisions

i think i am gonna get a skyline key or 300zx key cause they work in maximas

I’m getting close to 13k and growing…

Thats a running tap for one car and includes another that is long gone…

Same, most cars I buy with problems and I have the parts already sitting around to fix them. Some people though seem to think a civic with a turbo kit (or insert whatever car here) are investments.
