I understand the hate comment but not the important stuff. What does that have to do with anything? They all have pretty important stuff going on, they just don’t feel the need to post it to the world. They will laugh when I mention this to them.

Follow your favorite bands, bars, venues, restaurants, annual events, etc… to hear about anything they’re doing upcoming. You could have a twitter account and never write a tweet and still have it be extremely useful.

Yep, if you own a business and are not on social media, you could be shooting yourself in the foot. People are on facebook most of there damn lives, so if your business is on there, they don’t need to leave facebook to get info about your company. Although I’ve seen some companies that abuse it and then it becomes as annoying as the people we hate on FB/twitter.
