I put a straight edge across my header flanges and they aren’t exactly flat. Probably 1/8" to 3/16" difference. Called MAC and they said they will pull flat to the heads. I see a major exhaust leak in my future. What do you think?
I don’t want to grind them flat because they’re already ceramic coated.
get good fel-pro gaskets(1406 or1409)soke in water for a day,install,tighting from middle out! middle,then next to the front ,than next to the rear & so on!
Got some 1406s. I’ve heard about the soaking thing - I guess the swelling makes them seal better.
Hopefully the pipes will bend enough to go flat against the heads. They’re all separate tubes (they’re not connected with a bar) so they should bend easier. We’ll see!
