I am currently looking foward to buy either a DCsport or Hotshot header on my 95 240. I have read that installation is not so bad and that catalitic converter (+ downpipe) will be removed. Since the second catalitic converter is hollow, no more catalitic converter. Removing this, what will be the downside of that. I have heard something about burning my valves…(not a confirmed source) Do I need to install a catalitic converter where the hollow one is and relocate the wires and sensor or its a plug and play and thats it ? Goods and downs ?
Valves are good guys dont worrie about them, they can hold thier own.
Just make sure the Header you get clears the steering column.
valves for the most part are nice people, they are only assholes in an interferance motor if you mess up your cam timing swapping cams. Then they become assholes very, very fast.
Whoever told you you’d burn your valves is a frigging idiot, most likely a muscle car loving idiot
i happen to have one of these for the DOHC KA24…cheap cheap. $80 if you want it.
And what about catalitic converter and the catalitic converter “hollowed” ?. I am thinking about putting the DCSport on my KA.

I am supposed to do my cam swap this weekend, 2x 248 instead of 2x 232. should give a small difference in power. But back to the header, I will propably by one in the next week to come. Thx all
