So, I need a new helmet for this year so at least if i go to the Valley thats one less thing they can bitch at me for. My old one is out of date and i caught a case of the ass from the guy the last time or 2…or maybe 3 that I went. This was among other things…which most of you already know. :ninja
So, I wanted something that I can use for a while and that fits and be comfrotable in. This is the helmet I chose. My last one was a POS, didnt fit and i couldnt see shit. if you’ve ever been down the track at LVD you already know that your looking DIRECTLY into the Sun.
My helmet is also well out of date. I’m tired of hearing BS over a helmet for a 13 second car. FML. I told the tech inspector last time. “that’s why I have an air bag” he just laughed and said “find a new helmet”
eh… my windows are tinted. There are other full face helmets that are cheap as well. You may be able to find a cycle helmet that has a snell cert. That’s what I was using.
honestly mike that is a total waste of money, save the money and spend it where you need to and that is on the car.
i rented a helmet from LVD, and forgot to drop it off when i was done. it was close to the end of the season, they just mailed me my license back and they didnt charge me to rent the helmet because they had noone at the counter to handle the money lol. will sell for 50 haha.
nice lid but deff alot of coin just to run down the track 4 or 5 times a week, its your money tho so get it if you like it. it will save you money on a Halloween costume for next year lol
Can’t put a price on safety. I dig it, but I’d go some place and try helmets on before buying anything. I’m goin to HMS in MA very soon for seats, but they also carry helmets to try.
if you want to try it on, that helmet is a popular dirt track helmet, just go around to local shops to see if they have on. All simpson and impact which is the new bill simpson company are pretty common helmets.
