Whatcha got? Do you like it? Some of the new SA2010 (and SAH2010) helmets are out and I assume more are on their way and I’d like to get something to replace my old Pyrotect (SA2005) with something a bit lighter/smaller. Carbon fiber worth it or just a gimmick?
I know there is some time before the SA2010’s are required, but I’m still in the market.
The weight definitely makes a difference, less neck fatigue over time. Don’t know if you have in-ear buds but also look for something with good sound dampening and venting. I’m really happy with my Bell GP2, except any of the good visors for it are over $130 each.
You road racers need driving specific helmets, but us drag racers can get away with running motocross helmets. I need a new one this year too.
