Help me choose a muffler for my 4cyl vehicle

Thrush Welded blows donkey balls. Trust.

I need something quiet. I had a walker/dynomax on my old Z24 and that was alright, although it was only aluminized steel so it rusted out every 5 years or so.

I suggest that you make your entire exhaust out of resonators.

i think a 4" like i had on my VR turbo is just what you neeed

get a cutout you DUMB PIECE OF DOG SHIT

Adapt an aftermarket exhaust from a Toyota MKIV Supra Twin Turbo

I’m about to just go to Cole Muffler and have them weld on a Walker OE replacement with lifetime warranty. I don’t even give a shit if I lose 20whp, I just want a silent car god dammit.

the problem wt your car is there is no sound deadening in it . remember its a econo box still man . get some lizard skin or suttin simalar and see how ya like it . at least do the trunk area seein as it just resonates from there

This is also true. Chris (CrazyBrew) and I had an in-depth discussion about this on FB last night. haha

I was thinking about lining the spare tire well with FG insulation, and then buying a sheet of polystyrene and cutting it to the shape of my trunk carpet and placing it under there.

Do you have any experience with sound deadening and getting rid of drone? I’d appreciate the help. :thumbup

not a lot , most of wwhat i had done in for this type of thing . i would line the whole trunk in lizard skin or dyna mat esp where your batt and such is . then pull all the carpet out of trunk and plastic line it and reassemble see how ya like that . i did it in my bro,s old maxima when we did headers and a full stailess exh and it helped a lot on the exh and cut the drone right out

do a dynomax … i have that on mine. Sounds pretty good and quiet

try it man , if it works let me know lol

I’ll pick up a roll tomorrow afternoon and give it a shot.

Another good sound deadening solution is brown bread (or something like that… google is your friend). It is basically the same as dynamat but only around $100 for 100sq.ft. Its cheap and just as good. Used it in a few cars I’ve had and it was great. Hell, I even sealed the box that I had in my truck with it b/c it was too small of an area to build a proper box so it leaked air. Threw some of that in there and it sealed it 100%.

Here is a link: http://www.b-quiet.com/. Looks like it went up a little since I last looked. Either $85 for 50sq.ft. or $140 for 100sq.ft.
