ive got the superturbo and im pretty happy with it… the header i have makes it harder to keep quiet but i saw that dynomax just put out a muffler called like vt or something… not too sure if thats what its call but it says “drone free” in the decription… may try that when i go to the saab turbo setup on my car
i would say go on cobaltss.net and look for a stock one that someone is trying to unload because they got a new “performance” one. and if you were really into going quiter than stock at a cheaper price you could get a 2.2 or 2.4 exhaust on there for like 25 dollars hah
I’d go back to stock but the OEM flexpiece breaks after 20k or so. At least the aftermarket one lasts a tiny bit longer.
I’ll try to stop the muffler from droning through my empty trunk. The spare tire pit has NO sound deadening in it at all, and the floors are exposed. There used to be a piece of deadening for the tire well, and a piece that went over the muffler. Whoever did the bodywork must’ve forgot to put the dampening material back in. SHIT!

i’ll have to switch to that then! im sure the super turbo would be nice with just the catback but the pacesetter header adds alot of rasp… doesnt sound too bad with the dyonmax and an 18 inch resonator though
i have the vt series on my truck . its loud but mellow tone to it
Peel and Seal is ok, but it makes the car smell like tar when it’s warm out.
i used it to seal my fuel pump when i did mine in the car on a trap door . no smell
It’ll be in the trunk and underneath the carpet and plywood/oem sound deadening, so hopefully it won’t be too bad.

I can see if you do it on a roof or a piece of sheet metal in contact with direct sunlight, but on the base of the trunk should be minimal.

mine has nothing in it(gutted)…so basically no muffler, and a straight 3 inch with no resonator and it’s extremely quiet. Same with my old car. Magnaflow, 2.5" straight exhaust, one of the quietest aftermarket pieces.
