whata bout it, theres three GA owners and me and white have the 96-98 and playa has the 92-95 thats a 99+

but is that the dude from an fbody forums that makes those hoods. i heard he was going to make one for the 96-98. I wish someone would make a CF hood for the 96-98, since the only hood is AED and that is like $1000.
there are many companies that make that hood…and yes roger from us exhotics is on a fbody forumn that makes them also…he is out of harrisburgh
but no1 makes them for the 96-98 GA or 92-95 GA

they dont make that hood for 92-95s but AAS makes an SS style hood for my car which i own and should arriving within the next few days!:tounge:

same here…there isn’t a huge aftermarket for my car eitehr and what they do make is mad pricy cause you have to get it from the UK…
but still :gives: about a hood with some ugly ass scoops in it.

but what did it cost to get your CF hood? The only hood for the 96-98 GA is about a grand maybe a little more.

I had them made…got a group buy together and had 24 of them made…the first and i still think the only 24 CF hoods that are out there on Contours.
I did it from scratch…sent them a factory hood which they sent overseas and had a mold made…etc…it was a pain in the ass.
took like 4-6months.
In the end i got mine free since i put the whole thing together. but got stuck with some of the freight shipping (couple hundred bills)
they retail for $700…i got everybody a deal in the group buy and they paid around $400-$450+shipping($50 grreyhound)
trust me i know all about getting hoods done…the reason yours cost so much is cause there is no demand…i bet if you tell them you want 20 they sell to you for $400-$500 a piece
same with my car now… if one person wants a hood its pricy because they don’t keep hoods in stock of there is no demand…so if anybody wants a contour hood they gotta pay+ wait a long time cause it has to be made overseas and sent to the US…so your looking at like $700+$150shipping(they use frieght) and a 2month+ wait.
I still have my wholesale deal with them but the hood thing is too much a pain in the ass so i haven’t bought anymore.
