This is a welded OPEN diff. I think / hope this might just be a broken weld inside the carrier.
The noise happens every time i shift gears, the constant rattle is the license plate on the floor pan of the car.
if you skip to 2:14 i get on it and then depress the clutch fully and wait a second or two before re-engaging it. You can hear what ever is inside it go crazy.
so…

Duno, started happening today driving under normal conditions
I did a heater last night though, but the noise wasn’t there after… i drove it for a few miles to get gas without problems

How are you doing heaters in your awd BMW?
Not the BMW, I think it’s that Z car he just bought, also congrats on getting it running!

It’ll probably go away on its own. Beep next time you drive by my house. I boot it at the fire hall every time. People must hate living there.

You should just buy a stock slow car with warranty. If you aren’t getting tickets, you’re breaking something.
