and the steering rack…ah the rear rack on hicas is a closer ratio than the front rack on either hicas or non-hicas but i believe on both models the the front steering rack is the same
Diff is the same in the R32 chassis, mine dropped into my S13 subframe
Both racks are the same as far iirc from when I owned and s13 except the ratio.
You should be able to buy the bushings that go in place of the balljoints, I was lucky enough to get new knuckles but contact driftworks in the UK as they sell a HICAS delete kit that utilizes a new bushing iirc.
I am still running my HICAS pump in my R32, only thing I did was loop the lines, been running strong for 1 year now with no problems.
Man i wish i read this before i did the swap last night. That is very funny i just saw this. I just did the swap and now i need this mystry arm for the rear lol.
I guess i will replace the bushing with non hicas ones and find the mystrey arm. does any one know where i can get one or know what it is called so i can get one???
Those would be the toe arms, you need those. And yes you need to remove that hicas ball joint, but goodluck doing it on the car lol, wont be easy. You’d be better off just getting a non hicas upright and swap em.
bing has fancy ones. theyll be worth the money. Ive twisted and snapped stock toe arms.
