ok, so i went in for a safety today, and the bugger won’t pass me because my rear wheels have a little bit of horizontal play. told me that if i replaced the inner and outer tie rods it might go away, or it might be the wheel bearing or spindle. what i want to know is if this wheel play (very minimal) is normal on hicas cars. coincindentally, the car before me (auto s13 with hicas) also did not pass because of this. my parts car seems to have this play as well. so is this normal or not? i am just going to go to another shop to get my safety done, but i still would like to know if this is a legitimate problem or not. thanks.
did you tell him about hicas 4 wheel steering?
without the car running the rack (i believe) will not have hydrolic pressure, and may fail for this reason, ask him to check it with the car running in park/nuetral
