HKS INTAKE, but Looking for Piping

Hey guys, I just bought and installed an HKS Mega Flow Reloaded Intake.
It basically is a replacement of the OEM airbox, so it still runs through the stock plastic piping.

I was wondering, if there’s a way to get just the mandrel bent/aluminum piping so I could replace the stock piping, so it could suck in more air effectively, or is there not a need?

Thankz

Dude, stock piping is more than good enough. The filter make all the diff, especially on an NA car. Shiny piping is just for bling.

haha, honestly a part of me even tells me that
there’s no need for a piping…

either way I do feel the power gain, but that part of me
wants to make that intake sound more noticeable becuz
it’s only noticed under quick throttle, or higher rpm.

my buddie’s Integra GSR, makes a nice whistle sound
and the typical intake sound when he revs it up…
maybe that’s just the way his engine sucks up the air,
being a high revving 4.

go to home depot and make ur own piping.Thats what im’ planning to do. use the stock pipe and then extend it down using some pipe i bought. oh and i took out that resonator box behind the front bumper, made a diff in getting colder air into my intake.

Buy one of those generic ebay intakes. 10 bucks and done.

hmm, this resonator box
kinda works like a silencer eh…

how can I take it off?
& is it considerably louder?

The Resonator Box is the place where you put your “drop in” filter
and by the looks of it im pretty sure you already have it off

lol, the resonator box is actually
a piece seperate from the airbox etc…

for the 240, it’s located behind the driver side
fender…

p.s - I’m sure I know who this new user is! lmao
welcome to the SON240SX community.

no, his resonator box is still attached. easy to take off, just remove part of the fender liner and take off 3 bolts that hold the resonator. To me it’s good cuz more cooler air will be able to go to my intake. Plus it’s necessary to take of the resonator if you ever want to change it into a cold air intake.

I’ll probably go ahead with the resonator removal
sometime this week, see what difference it makes
to my short-ram air intake.

I have the proper HKS adaptor that connects the filter to the MAF… $30 and it’s yours…comes with the HKS coupler as well.
