So I told this girl at work about John’s winter tire deal, and she’s all excited and shit, and she tells me she wants in, but she’s too busy to actually meet up with him and grab them, so I tell her I can pick the tires up for her, since I’m grabbing mine anyway. Now, her tires have arrived, and I told her about it, and she’s like “Yea, I can’t pay you until I get the tires.”
So now, I’m paying for the tires out of my own pocket until she pays me.
FUCK people. I wasn’t making a dollar on this, I quoted her directly what John did, and was just going to bring them to work for her, since I’m picking up my set anyway. I swear to god, if I ever consider doing something nice for someone, shoot me or some shit. I’m sooooo pissed right now!

I totally hear you man…it’s just the latest trend in people it seems sometimes - flakiness.
Some people are just ungrateful/disrespectful/unreliable…just take mental notes of each person you deal with and only extend yourself to people who won’t keep letting you down.
And then there’s the money thing…it seems like no one wants to pay when the time comes these days doesn’t it?
Seriously… I’m NEVER EVER EVER doing someone a favour again. I’m so pisssed! I give her free delivery, on the best tire deal there is, and she goes ahead and makes me pay for her tires! I’m so tempted to sell them right now, but that would cause even more unnecessary drama.
Just tell her it’s more because of what she did so you get compensation for emotional distress.

You should tell her that paying is her responsibility and was obviously part of the deal, and that if she doesn’t give you the money by the time you head out to get yours, she’s gonna have to go get them herself too.

She’s not that attractive, imo… I’d prolly put it inside her if she asked me nicely, but it definitely wasn’t for that. She’s one of the people that I talk with pretty often, since she works at reception, and I go there to drop off orders for processing, send/pick-up faxes, etc… It’s pretty much her, the guy in the cubicle behind me, and the guy in the cubicle beside me that I talk to on a daily basis here.
That sucks man, most people are like that these days.

Haha, I can see why you might think that, but I actually like the guy that crashed into my car a lot more than I did before. He was so honest and nice about the whole thing, didn’t question the estimate, gave me cash up front, and just kept saying how sorry he is about the whole thing. After that, I would definitely do him a favour, b/c all his actions sent a clear message that he’s not a douche, and that he takes responsibility for his actions.
