Anybody want to be interviewed on camera, telling about why Honda fit wheels constantly get stolen? My cousin is a news anchor for ynn and I’m trying to help her out with her story. Let me know if you can help, must have some credentials ie, mechanic, own a shop, ect
Googled it a bunch, everyone on the Fit forums are like why do people want these narrow ass super tucked wheels? I guess the offset and width are horrible for anything besides a fit.
It’s sickening how you could have two cars in a garage, a BMW and a Civic hatch, the BMW would sit there, the Civic would be stripped in a matter of minutes and at the last minute, prob the only thing they would take from the BMW, would be the hood and trunk emblems to hang from their gold chain.
The only person those locks are going to slow down is your dad if he gets a flat tire. People showing up with enough equipment to steal all 4 wheels from a car know how to bypass the locks just as fast as a lugnut.
They steal them because there will always be a market for oem aluminum easy to steal, easy to sell honda wheels. Anyone whos owned a honda and mods them has bought or sold a set of similar wheels. They make the slightest subtle little touch to a car that was boring with steelies on it before. There is no way to track or prove whos wheels they are because they are pretty common with no makings or vin numbers or anything on them. They usually go for 250-300$ a set which is quick easy money to the scrubs that take them.
was just at the car wash and a honda boi come up to me and asked if i know anyone who could get roof racks or more wheels. look over and he has got some 2012 fit wheels said he got them from a guy for $50 each a few weeks back
haha exactly what im saying its quick easy money for those guys they know the honda market was, is and will always be big so they will always be able to make money off them.
