HONDA FOLKS: 5 lug conversion help

Don’t know if anyone has any experience with this but I am trying to do it on my EG…I have most parts that I need or that at least I think I need from doing research on honda tech but it is a sketchy subject on there because there are so many different 5 lug conversions you can do. The one I am trying to do is the USDM itr conversion which I can keep the 32mm B series axles with…anyways just looking for some help possibly someone to come over and at least talk with me about it lemme know

if you want call or text me at 724 809 5480

Thanks
Wray

hey dude what problems are you running into? gimme a call tomorrow or shoot me a text and i’ll help you out

Wray, you know how to find me…be glad to help. I assume you already asked Joe?

Are you having problems sourcing parts? You’re far from me, but I could help via PMs if you have any questions.

I am trying to figure out if i am short any parts at this point…honda tech wasn’t very helpful because any search I seemed to do only led to a discussion about either trying to do a jdm itr/ctr 5 lug swap which is a pain in the ass because they have the 36mm axles or it ended up becoming an argument as to why you wouldn’t just go buy an upgraded brake kit of the 4 lug…the current thing I am stuck on after doing research is the difficulty with the spindles, that there is some major difference in the rear dimension wise that makes it a pain to do even as far as some guy had to find mazda axle nuts to make it work, I guess im just lost on this because this is the very first suspension swap I have ever dug into and don’t know where to start. What im going to do though is take picures of the current parts that I have and you guys can try to help from there. So far I think I am going to have to find usdm itr rear trailing arms but I have also been told that I don’t so we’ll see

steve and bswap can you shoot me a pm with your numbers so I can call or txt ya later

Steve, all I had time to ask joe about so far is if he has ever done one and he said no

im in no hurry right now because I only have three volks sitting in my room and the other is on order and it is a two to three month wait for it so im looking at atleast mid june before I see that

thanks guys

pm’d

last time i checked. everytime you do a rear disc conversion no matter 4 lug or 5 lug… you need the matching trailing arms in the rear. along with the integra Ebrake cables as your current ones will not work.

if your car already has rear discs… you may not need the trailing arms. not sure if anyone actually has the fitment worked out yet… most folks sell the trailing arm with the hubs… so this wouldnt be an issue.

also… if i were you… figure out exactly which axles you have. go to the auto parts store… ask for that axle. take your 5 lug front knuckle with you… and test fit it. honestly… this is the best way to make sure it will fit.

as far as axle length… ive never heard of anyone having to use mazda axle nuts. i can understand this if the parts store didnt have ones for a honda… and the mazda ones just happened to be the same. but your axles should fit no problem… i have heard of having to remove the dust cover ring on the back of the knuckle before… but this may not apply to you.

hope my info helps.
