Honda help needed

I have a 1990 honda accord. I got the car cheap as the ingnitor was out of the distributor.
I replaced the following parts:

Ingnitor,
Rotor,
Cap,

Heres my problem I have spark at the coil but not at the plugs. I dont even have spark at the top of the cap. But with the cap off i do have spark at the coil. So I took the old cap, and cut some acess holes in it and I have spark at the center electrode of the cap, but the spark never reachs the outside of the cap. The rotor is turning. There appears to be about a .004-.007 gap between the end of the rotor and the prongs of the cap is this normal? Any ideas what maybe wrong? Is it just a weak coil that needs repalced?

Thanks,
Tom

Sounds like either the coil is extremely weak, or the rotor is incorrect…making the gaps too big or misaligned. You positive you got the correct rotor?

I think I got the right one, I’ve bought two, the second was exactly the same as the one that was in it when I bought it.

REpalced the coil today, and all is good…
