Thats kind of narrow-sighted. I can name plenty of FWD cars with minor tuning that would spank a 240 around a track.
If a shitload of civics are being riced out, i’d appreciate a well built one even more if i ever saw one.

I know why people hate on hondas so much, but if you want something to hate, then hate the owners. I’ll agree that the majority of honda owners I’ve met are utter waffles, but… have you ever driven a Honda? Take one for a spin, if it’s stick, not a minivan and in good working condition, it’ll earn your respect guaranteed.

after driving conky’s civic, i have to admit - i <3 hondas.

agree. hondas are great cars. used to own one few months back, fun to drive, handles well, and very reliable.
