Hondas...

paul went 12.6@?? without spray. still 2.0liter still honda

in what shell? i doubt a 4 door pig

I am glad you took the bait, I will proceed to own your ass from start to finish.

You are talking factory? I am not even sure what that means. I am also not 100% sure what cars come stock with that motor but please show me one that runs better than MID 13s and 103MPH traps. I’ll even give you that your car won’t weigh anywhere near the 3,750LBS that a 3/S weighs.

K20 is better than the 6G72TT? I am not sure what that means either. But, the 3/S has went 9s @ 150MPH+ on a 100% stock block. I am talking stock head bolts, stock head gasket, stock internals, etc…

you wont win a battle with shawn, he’ll find a way to make whatever he likes or has better than what anyone else likes or has…just give up

How cute! Two K20 fanbois sticking up for one another! K20 OWNERS UNITE#(*$@#(

Ask anyone. I have MANY bad things to say about the 3/S. I give credit where it is due: Ray/Team Teal/etc… I say it like it is regardless of personal opinion unlike you who thinks the K20 walks on water. NEWS FLASH: That shit came out of a fucking econbox.

rsx it came out of= not econobox, body its in =super econobox

It’s an ECONBOX. It’s Acura’s entry level car. It’s like a Honda Civic or any other manufacturer’s entry level/basic/etc… car.

he ran in an ef hatch dx 2262 lbs a 4 door integra rs of 90-93 is 2390lbs. in drag racing the basic wieght principle is 100lbs/0.1sec so thats 12.7 in my car with the same setup. an NA 2.0liter with bolt ons in an old 4 door integra is fast. plus look it up 4 doors and 2 doors produced by honda are usually within 90-120 pounds of each other within the same chassis. plus the wheels base only changes usually up to 9 inchs seen on the 2 and 4 door 94-01 integras. i think thats the most difference in wheelbases on any one chassis produced by honda.

wrong…who says your going to shift as good as him? as good of a launch? as good of a 60 ft.? so you saying your car will run a 12.7 on the same set-up is not correct.

So, you are comparing a stock 3/S with your gutted car? Also, you are speculating the ET?

What happens if Jesus helps you with a 200MPH tail wind? Or the 3/S is on a track that is at 20,000FT elevation and your car is on a track at sea level but at a 90 degree downward angle?

You are being very nice but you are correct.

entry level and econobox are not one in the same what about the new 1series bmw? is that an econobox? How about the 360 Ferrari is that an econobox? NO! The honda civic is clearly an econobox but not for the reason you stated

while you are close in principle, 100lbs = .1 only in a 200whp car… its an average. you have to factor in gearing, weight transfer with the suspension, tires/traction oh, and lets not forget the most important of them all… driver skill. i can show you a 400hp sti and a 400hp wrx… put both on the line and assuming driver skill, weight, everything else the same with the exception of the transmission (sti 6spd vs wrx 5spd) the wrx will walk it 99 times out of 100. (that 1 time being when the transmission blows up). you need to look at the big picture rather than BENCH RACING like so many of you on here do. i will admit, ive been guilty of it too, but for fucks sake… shut up and just run em @ the valley. this street racing BS is going to get people locked up this year… i can see it happening already… too much talk of it on here, too many youngins leaving the lot all at once to go watch/participate… cops aint fucking stupid… they know its going on. give it time and you will see.

those weights are factory wet curb weight.

and granted 12.7 is a time in theory of engine setup. but i have drag raced and i am confindent in my driving ability granted i cant control the conditions outside the car but i can drive the car to the best of my ability that and the car setup are 2 controllable conditions

ej257ftw: the principle works for all cars its purley a weight based principle. basically reguard less of setup or gearing. lose 100 pounds gain 0.1 off your original time. and i DO NOT street race. i have had way to many liscence problems with out street racing. lebenon valley isnt that far away and its pretty damn cheap so i wouldnt be stupid and race on public roads with people and children. its wreckless and immature. plus illegal

you are WRONG… as i said 100lbs = .1 ONLY in a 200whp car. its a rule of thumb…

I think it is fair to keep manufacturers like BMW and up out of the equation. To show I am unbias, the Lancer is an econbox. Also, the RSX went for like $15K new base model, correct?

Regardless of your driving skillz, explain how it is relevant at all in your K20 > 6G72 claims? You then proceeded to talk about your modifying cars and hypothetical 3/S. Somehow you worked in the differences between a 2 door and a 4 door.

I can’t follow your logic because it makes no sense and it’s all over the place.

sorry dude your wrong. its a widely proven formula. i would suggest maybe you search the internet for more information. sorry if that sounds rude.

yeah, but i think he was talking about the type-s

well you said it was an econobox because it was the cheaper model but acura unlike honda doesnt make econobox’s sure they are the “same” but acura tends to make their cars more sportier with much better engine options, i wouldnt call acura rsx-s an econobox it certainly looks sporty, handles decently from what I’m told, and has some pep to it. A honda civic= economy car my jetta=economy car for shits sake rsx-s= lower level sporty coupe

hey holmes… go back to highschool. :lol have you EVER even made a pass at the dragstrip?.. have u driven more than 1 car down the strip?.. have you made comparisons by actually driving different cars down the strip at different levels of modification?.. until you can say yes to ANY OR ALL of these questions… dont talk to me, and especially dont start thinking u know it all. i have learned these basic principles through several medians… school taught, and personal experience being the best… it simply is a fact. i have removed over 300lbs of weight in a 115 hp car and it dropped the time ~.1 by your logic that should have been .3 not going to happen. :wtf… its funny how some youngins try telling me how things work when ive SEEN this first hand…
