well you said it was an econobox because it was the cheaper model but acura unlike honda doesnt make econobox’s sure they are the “same” but acura tends to make their cars more sportier with much better engine options, i wouldnt call acura rsx-s an econobox it certainly looks sporty, handles decently from what I’m told, and has some pep to it. A honda civic= economy car my jetta=economy car for shits sake rsx-s= lower level sporty coupe

You are talking about opinion/perception, I am simply saying that the major car manufacturer’s entry level car = econbox.

acura rsx is a fuckin rebadged civic… still a fucking econobox… the civic si and the rsx-s have the same motor… different levels of ecu tuning… both k20’s… honda fanboi’s wont admit it or accept it but its a damned fact…the evo, the sti, the 3000gt… all the pinnacle of their respective company’s achievement… the rsx… not so much.

think of status mcbitchin… it comes down to status. unless ur in an s2k or an nsx… maybe even a TL… owning a honda or acura is not a status symbol… an r32 for vw is status… where a regular golf or jetta… not so much… see where im going with this?

I’ll break it down for you.

Acura RSX = Honda Civic = Acura/Honda = entry level car = Relatively cheap $20K

The same goes for the Mitsubishi Lancer regardless of options. For the record, the Evolution (while looking similiar) is a different platform.

shawn whats the stock hp rating for the 6g72? whats the stock hp for the k20? iirc the 6g is around 300hp… and the k20 is 200hp… now… thats still a 100hp/litre engine… i fail to see how one is better than the other.

There is already a turbo K-Series motor, it’s the K23, it makes somewhere in the ballpark of 260/270 for power, not near the 6g72tt power but it seems like a good motor non the less
