Hondas...

maybe so but not for the reasons you stated and that was what i was arguing for the most part

LOL.

I guess its easy to come to this conclusion because 90% of honda owners are complete idiots and can’t put the car together correctly to save their lives.

Define econbox then.

I am glad you found that funny because it was.

Actually, that post was in reference to the 3/S stock vs the K20 stock even though it doesn’t have the superior HP/L ratio that the K20 lova referenced. But, unfortunately, you are right. There ARE some nice Hondas out there but retards like that guy and others kill it :frowning:

a bold statement

Show me some stock K20 cars running 13.6 and/or 102MPH. I have pics of timeslips and videos of my car if you want.

I was debating on saying something about that, because honestly…i think i would waste bone stock VR-4’s all day, and maybe even some with light bolt ons

now your changing it a little, you said “K20 cars” not STOCK K20 cars [RSX-S, Civic Si]

I can’t help it if people don’t read the post trail. The context was in regards to HP/L in stock form so I responded with that comment but he didn’t grasp that peak HP and/or HP/L isn’t the end-all comparison. I even threw in comparisons to Supras, DSMs, etc… to back myself.

You may beat car X at LVD but play around with an AWD car stop light to stop light.

EDIT: not a bold statement if you are referring to a stock VR4 vs. stock Si or RSX-S :lol

im assuming we are all comparing cars in stock form with the engine they came with from the factory

Gracias for the edit.

Yea, that’s exactly what I meant. If you refer back to conversation, it is clear.

I wasn’t trying to put any car down but pointing out (in many ways) that saying anything is ‘better’ based on peak crank HP and HP/L is ridiculous and ignorant.

So true, I could engineer and build a .0002 L engine that makes 1hp (5000hp/L) and hook it to a skateboard, but I bet a stock dodge shadow would still brutalize me in any form of race

Well, to be fair I work on a ton of hondas and have them as my own cars. But when it comes down to it, most of them I consider to be shit… riced out etc. Look at a typical wednesday night at lvd. Might be 3 good running hondas out of 40 cars. Its just the way it is, the price and availability has made things this way.

For honda, its not about being the highest output or fastest car. They just were not designed to be that way. Everyone knows this. For the most part they are fun, nimble, have good gearing in a well put together package that is extremely reliable, gets good gas mileage and holds its value well. Almost all the honda and acuras in the 80’s and 90’s came with factory double wishbone suspension and can be turned into an autocross or roadrace monster with just a set of springs, shocks and tires.

I’ve seen some very impressive things from K20’s, they make great all motor and forced induction engines. A basic turbo setup using decent quality parts and a little bit of brains can make a very stout setup thats hard to beat on the street and strip.

Very well said.

I never meant to be rude to K20s in this thread but just disapproved of the source of the information and the ignorant justifications.

Some of misinformation thrown around here was just ridiculous :nono

ahhh to be young, dumb and full of cum all over again… emphasis on dumb. some days i wish newbs to the scene would just shut up, listen, and learn from those who have “been there, done that” so to speak.

holy fuck, i swapped a H22 into my civic and i havea bodykit. someone make fun of me so we can stop talking about k20’s.

Wait your turn. I want to deal with this guy first.

So, K20 > 6G72 because…

276chp = 138 hp/liter

eat it, slut

2008 Dodge Viper
8.4L 600HP

75 HP/L

2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1
6.2L 620HP

100 HP/L

DAD: “Son. Money is no object. You want this torque beast Viper or do you want a blown Vette that will put you in the trunk at WOT”.
SON: “Daddy. Fuck that. I want a K20 because the HP/L ratio is higher”.
DAD: “That’s my boy.”

Looks like the K20 prevails again!%(%&#
