:wow

i remember watching the making of it on discovery. it was sick shit…

ROAD TRIP!!!

yeah lets drive 2k miles to see a non existant bridge…

HAHAHAHA :idiots

Looks great, but is it worth it?

Kind of my thought, in particular when it looks like you’ll be able to drive across where Lake Mead was with in a 20 years.

Yep, plus we should have other priorities, but who knows government loves to fund silly projects.

Must have been thinking of 5 bridges next to each other with 4 lanes each bridge… :confused

for a bit of perspective, here is a shot I took at the dam. At the very bottom you can see the top of a building, that isnt even the bottom of the dam. At the top you can see the size of people and a van.

That bridge is simply massive. Why not build it? another tourist attraction, employment for lots and lots of people, another “world wonder”. No reason not to in my book.

^^^ Vegas is going to be out of water with in 20 years with high chances of an inability to meet current demand with in 10 years, more people is NOT the answer there. The money spent on this bridge would be much better spent finding a solution to prevent Lake Mead from drying up. Right now there are proposed solutions but none underway or confirmed that they will work. As it stands we will be able to tell our kids about this great party town, show them pictures but by then it will be an abandoned ghost town in the desert.

Instead of building new ones, how about we fix the old ones :ponder
