i cant say, i havnt seen the games as of yet, but if thats the case, he needs to step it up then, they have a great team this year and the new rules will even help them even more with all the speed they have.

Regeir said Roy didn’t have the same impact in camp as he did when he got called up to Buffalo in 2003. I find that funny because I know one person in the organization and two people who work the practices and all three said Vanek and Roy were the 2 most impressive skaters in practice and preseason.

I think lydman (defense #5) is our biggest problem. He sucks…I can’t believe how much that guy screws up. I think the offense is really strong this year, but the Defense sucks…again because of Lydman. Get him outta there and we’re good to go.
Lydman isn’t THAT bad, if anyone should go at this point its connolly or pyatt, they are both worthless!
Lydman is by far the worst player on the sabres. I watched him at the season opener and he is the most unsettled player on the ice. So unsure of himself and gets flustered when he has the puck. He gave the puck away way too many times in our zone, fumbled around with the puck at the point when we were on the power play and lost it quite a few times, etc. He’s a rookie, so I guess we can blame it on that, but I don’t think hes ready for the show yet. Pyatt at least works hard, and conolly would be really good if he shot the puck once in a while. he’s always passing instead of shooting…he was like that in the last season as well.
Remember who they were playing again last night. Ottawa is no joke. I cant remember who said it last night but they guranteed the senators would make it far in the playoffs. Jim lorenz even said the same thing I was thinking, Hasek was looking impossible to score on. He simply looked invincible making our offense look bad.
I do agree connelly looked bad though. Pyatt? Pyatt who?
yeah Ottawa is the real deal this year. We had 19 shots in the first period with no goals…damn you Hasek. 35 shots total and nothing. They’re gonna be going a long way. Too bad we had to play them the night after a tough game and travel there. I think we looked tired. I kinda had the feeling that would lose that one 
Last nite also they were playing a bck-to-back game against a well rested team in their home opener. lots of Senator emotions. And they are a damn good team too.
So I don’t hold anything against the Sabres for last nites loss.
sorry but they’ve been saying how much “potential” these guys have for how many years now? they are never gonna turn out, cause they obviously haven’t gotten any better, AGAIN lol just because he works hard doesn’t cut it anymore imho
yeah thats true, but he creates plays by rushing into the zone like he did in the boston game. + he’s a bigger guy. I dont think hes a great player by any means, but hes not hurting us like Lydman is. Our offense is doing well IMO.
i actually like connelly but i think he is scared to play. he jumped off the puck a few times when he saw an ottawa player within 5 feet from him. he needs to get some confidence back and get comfortable and then i think he will be back to where he was 3 years ago.
pyatt is a nancy boy and needs to go. ive said it 1,000 times but holyshitvanekisgood. if the only way we could have gotten vanek was to drop a couple players then i would drop a million connellys and pyatts for 1 vanek. just watching him you can tell hes a rookie but a jagr in the making.
