You need to take off the current set of wheels.
First wrap tires on the SSR rims, and then mount rims on the hub. Make sure all 4 rims are on, and proceed to tighten lug nut to specified torque.
WOW…don’t you have anything better to do…thanks for the sarcastic post, it helps me out alot
Hehe, i forgot the smiley.
Put the rims on, and if there is any rubbing on the fenders or struts, get spacers and/or roll your fenders. I’d get those in a heartbeat. They are perfect for a S14. Sasha is running 18" rims i reckon. IIRC he didnt have any issues.
Last but not least, chill the fck out.
Coles notes:
If they protrude past the body:
they will definitly need spacers.
Not necessarily. An S14 can run higher positive offset than an S13 and still look good. Considering that 9 +20 are flush on an S13, 9.5 +35 should be flush or very close to flush on an S14.
those rims are all over zilvia . just do a search and see what offset the other guys are running. i think i saw those white ones up on ebay a few months ago. i almost went for them … but they were white.
I run a +38 on my s13 and they are fush. These should fit no prob, provided you do not have 300zx brakes.
Oh ya my rims are only 8 inch though.
Flush isnt the problem, its rubbing on the inside. I neglected to think about my coilovers when putting on my rims, 18x8.5 +35 up front, they rubbed on the coilovers, so I had to go out and buy some spacers. So depending on if you have coilovers, or are planning for them in the future, theres a good chance you will needs spacers.
putting fitment to the side - what color is your car? and are you looking at the white rims, or did you only post that pic for reference purposes.
i was never a fan of white spokes with polished lip
your tires are flush fool, your rims arnt!
Do some research and measure it out. www.google.com
http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html is a offset calculator that will tell you how your wheels will sit with respect to stock rim width.
IE
Stock S13
15x6 +40?
So with 18x9.5 and +35 offset
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 39mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 49mm
they will fit under stock fenders
the fronts will hit coilovers, the rears will clear.
To clear the fronts you’d need a 15mm spacer I believe… maybe more… it would be close.
To be flush go with a 20mm spacer in the rear, since you’ll need to pull the front IMO you should even it out and put a +30 or +25 spacer on the rear and roll/pull it to match the front.
Upon further review (in my mind) a 15mm spacer would be perfect with a 235 tire in the front, I doubt you’ll rub. You should have about 5mm of clearance to the coilovers (assuming you dont have ones with large diameer springs like TEIN HA)
The rear id go with a 15mm spacer as well with a 255 or even 265 tire. however it would look kinda silly because the front will be stretched and the rear will be square. You will need to roll the lip of the quarterpanel but you wont need to pull. You’ll have tons of space to the strut in the rear.
