As of Jan 1st I will be a Security Engineer/Pentester @ Redspin

Get paid to break into networks…

^Congrats…No more free roadrunner huh? :frowning:

Yea im going to miss that

Time Warner is a great place to work pay/perks/technology however I didn’t really have room to move up since they just regionalized and most high level/senior/lead engineering positions are in VA/NC. I was planning on moving back down south in a couple years however I didn’t want to ride out the time in between being bored.

Talked to a bunch of other security consulting companies and Redspin had the best work life balance(ie not traveling 300 days a year) I will be working from home and occasionally going on site to mostly warmer places

Couldn’t handle not using the Time Warner App for tablets/smartphones on non-Time Warner networks??

Working from home now?

Yea I will be working from home

There one of those typical west coast tech companies

I really like the culture out there and had to turn down a position with Zynga earlier this year because they wanted me out there to often…After this whole marriage thing hopefully I can get out of Buffalo

Very cool environment - seems very similar to what Arsenal Security Group does.

Have fun!!!

There needs to be more lay back company’s in the Buffalo/NY region. Synacor is not one of them lol

I / we are a design / build contractor with experience in residential and light commercial projects. We are capable of projects ranging from kitchen and bath remodeling, replacement windows, drywall and paint all the way through new home construction. I have a degree in Architecture but decided I didn’t want to ride a desk the rest of my life. There are days I wish I had, but overall love what I do.

PS-Glad I found this. Thought most people on here worked at Mighty Taco or something.

They can say goodbye to any fun they had…about the finally go IPO.

You work for synacor? a friend of mine did started when it was a young comany and much more laid back.

No but I have and I am working with people that went through there. The business is a revolving door, no stability, and work you to death. Yes, they might give you free lunches, cheap snacks, nice coffee drinks, and you can wear causal attire. However, the seem like a PHP farm and the people I know were System and Network Admins.

Yay I wasn’t considered “overlap that had to be eliminated during our organizational restructuring” so I’m still some sort of Engineer at Praxair.

oh and to keep on topic incase no one noticed i work as a tech for justin at swiderski motorcar. so come get your car fixeded

Congrats. All I got yesterday was another SRA
