I’m hoping for 2:10-2:20 (probably more like 2:20) on Pilot Sport Cups, but I guess we’ll find out.
Voted I will never find out since they do not let bikes on the track.
BUT, I’ll post my Mid-Ohio times once I get them.
I’d like to find out since the Phoenix group that runs there will actually let my SS run with them, but I doubt I’ll get the time to head out there with them. Either way, I probably wouldn’t push it too hard, stopping 6000 lbs at full speed too many times will accidentally my brakes.
Having never run there I can’t really say. I did manage a 1:16 at Dunnville using Function Racing’s transponder. The Glen has a whole lot less margin for error though so I’m not sure if I’d be pushing as hard.
The goal for this summer is to hit at least one bigger track, either Nelson, The Glen or Mosport’s long track.
If I get cams installed I’m hoping for close to 2:00. For now I’m going to start it up stock motor (v8), I’m hoping with some more tire, aero and a bit more power to be around 2:05 initially.
I ran 2:15’s on pilot sport cups (265 x4) and a basically stock Vq35 last year with no aero.
i never ran at the Glen so i dont even have a target in mind. but i will have a practically brand new suspension on my car and the glen will be the first time out there with it so im just looking to have fun. no real goal in mnd
with your power and experience you should aim for 2:30 by the end of your first day. then again, don’t go full out time attack until you know the track or it will spit you out.
I haven’t ever gone to the glen, but I think my car would fair pretty well. 315 fronts 335 rears.
Compound is much more important than size. My snows are 255s, they would suck. :gotme:
Brakes is the same story, pads, fluid, rotors.

I voted 2:20 - 2:30 because that’s what I’ve been running and the course record for my class is low 2:20’s!
Sounds like I might be overly ambitious… i’ve probably got more power with the M50, but not enough to shave 10 seconds on you.
There is no f’ing way anyone on here is going to be sub 2:20 on street tires.
There, there is the gauntlet!
I think dmoffitt was able to break that when he was twin-turbo’d in the 350Z.
Yeah, you need good powa to be sub 2:20. Dmoffitt has quite a bit of driving experience too. Correct?
99% of NYSPEEDERS won’t be sub 2:20.
Sub 2:20 on streets is hauling ass (no Dot-R’s don’t count as streets).
back then he only a had a little experience… but a lot of power.
I took his car out for a session and was taking it super lazy and safe and probably ran 2:30s.
Depends on what suspension you run and if you choose to ditch the MPSC in favor of a good tire for a light car. Sub 2:20’s with that car isn’t unrealistic, VERY fast, but doable.
Same for me.
since im cutting down on body roll and brake dive A LOT and have a stiffer suspension im really looking forward to testing it out. and i wanna try out my toyo r888 that i never got to use last year
How fast does a Supra go around at the Glen?
