FFS You not properly warming up your car.
I don’t. Start and go.
exactly. Sometimes 20 or so minutes if there is a good amount of snow on it.
5 to 10 minutes - when I leave for work in the morning. I wait for the tach to sit below 1 when I leave work or go anywhere.
5 min if I am on time, otherwise it’s start up and WOT out of the driveway.
For comfort only. It’s a god damned toyota, cold weather isn’t going to kill it.
get in, turn it on and leave.
unless theres snow on it or ice on the windows, then turn it on, scrape/brush it and leave.
DSM gets warmed up for about 5 minutes. If I don’t when it’s cold, it stalls. I don’t have any of the fancy water pipes hooked to the throttle body to help with cold weather starts so thats why it does that. I never go into boost in the first 10 minutes of driving it though.
tC I start and go as long as there’s no ice on the windows. It’ll warm up sooner or later by the time I get to work. I’m not overly concerned with letting it warm up.
Yea my tranny fucking sucks during real cold weather.
i mean it sucks anyways… but it sucks even more when cold, unthinkable… but true
get in and go!
if its snowing i’ll fire it up while i scrape snow and ice off… but that’s just b.c it might be a little warmer inside when i get moving
30 sec - 1 min
I let my car warm up for abotu 10sec before I get on my way. However my tach has lights that start at like 4k or some shit and start to go away as the car warms up. So I just do what it says.
Just about every manual car I have owned is pretty shitty for the first few shifts when it is cold out. Typically the 1-2 shift.
45 or colder 5 mins to heat up the inside, 50-80 30second, 80+ 5 mins to cool off the inside
5-10 min for the Z, or until the engine temp is normal. With the pistons that I have it’s recommended that the motor is up to temp before driving it.
Only about 1 min for my truck.
not having that hooked up does nothing for cold starts. it prevents icing of warm humid air as it passes through the throttle body due to the pressure drop caused by the throttle plate.
i would say bout 5mins, just 2 let everything get up 2 temp
you actually remember how long that car has to warm up for? lol BURN!
haha, yeah I started it last year and let it warm up for 10 min before I drove it 1 mile.
lol. im just busting your balls.
I need it though. Gota finish it by spring
