How much do you make an hour?

!

I hope to go your route Joe.

Education: B.S. Finance –>Start MBA in Fin next spring when tuition reimbursment kicks in
Job: Financial Analyst
Hourly: Its salaried, but after bonuses should be about 25+/hr @ 40/week
Matching 401k, tuition reimbursement, baller status

and I am only 21.

Education: High School
job: Machinist (Manual Turning and Milling)
hourly wage: 17.00
weekly: you do the math.

I did exactly the same thing dex did, started out on the floor doing bitch shit for 11.00 an hour, worked my way up. Currently laid off so i figured, what the hell and im now working on my associates in engineering. Id love too get back into the job. I figure at least an AE would give me a stronger base in math and science and up my wages quite a bit when i go back. I also plan on taking CNC courses somewhere along the way.

Nice that’s really good to be done with school and employed by 21 …Where at?

Citigroup in Getzville

Ah nice, got a lot of friends there. For some reason when I was in school applying there the salaries they’d offer would be way less than competitors…

Education: BS - Network Security.
Job: Information Assurance
Hourly: Salaried, enough to move away from Buffalo.
Matching 401k, tuition reimbursement, HUGE career networking capabilites etc etc.

How do they like it? I graduate in May, start in July. Already signed all of the contract/paper work… beats making 9 bucks/hour part-time at Best Buy.

They used to like it a lot…they said the culture there got super :tinfoilhat: last year when it looked like they might go under… I guess it’s better now but they still get all paranoid about outsourcing

I can only imagine… thats what the managers were even telling me in the interviews. They said though the Buffalo location wasn’t hurt as much as other parts of the company.

DEY TERK OUR JERBS

you might work with my sister.

lol, ballerrrr

As long as your field is marketable. Doing help desk for desktop support or being a coder is getting thin in this country. Working in a field like telcom, data security, database administrator, and consulting will stay here a long time.

Hahahaha awesome!

NYlife.com

stop trolling, go read the threads on this instead of trying to digg it up again.

I would have paid a heck of a lot more than I did to not be making $20/hr…

QFT!!!

Education: Associates in CIS this summer. Cert. in networking.

hourly wage: Depends. Suprisingly well. Im enjoying my life atm.
weekly: Depends.

Karter, don’t get lured into going to ITT Tech because they tell you it’s faster. It’s a scam, trust me. Instead of advisors they have salesmen.

Most IT jobs just seem like another left brained job that will be done offshore. I realize some will stay here but with 999999999999 kids in the US looking for IT jobs the supply and demand seems out of wack. I would think with advancing technology this shit would take care of itself too. lol A couple people have mentioned security. Biometrics, thumb print, retna, done.
