I scrape maybe once every couple weeks. I’m sure some of you guys who are lower scrape more on these crappy roads. Do you scrape often?
Hmmm prolly once or twice a week for sure, the worst was learning to get up an Edmonton Driveway with lowered suspension, you have to do the one wheel at a time angled approach or all you will do is crumple. Then there are just some driveways where its never gonna happen. The first time I tried to get up mine when I got my new car, I got a shiver down my spine when I heard the scrape.
Never - even with the Nismo suspension, the Spec is still a monster truck compared to some of you 240 guys. :E
Yeah no kidding. Even with the 1.3" drop I had with the Tanabe GF210’s it was still super high. Never scrapped the Spec either.
I guess I should have specified in the first post that I scape with the 240, not the Spec.
EVERY FUCKIN DAY!! The front lip at one part is about 2 inches off the ground. Thank g god the Pathfinde ris coming out very soon.
I haven’t for a while, but I have hit serious road hazards near my house, the sewage drains use to be so high that I use to manuver them like I was AutoXing, I hit one so badly that it actually has bent my Lower Tie Bar.
I scrape about once every couple weeks. the roads i go on i know where the bumps are and how to avoid them. And plus my car is really stiff so that helps. Next year i am going lower but i want to make a skid plate for the bottom.
seems to happen only in the winter when i am tring to climb those pesk 2 foot high snow burms :E

The Buick is pretty freaking bad. Although it’s better with the taller tires, it used to sit about 1" lower. :?
You guys that scrape everyday, why not get small strategicaly placed scrape plates welded to your exhaust? A friend of mine has it done to his 180 exhaust. Works great.
I’ve been told that my exhaust scrapes and sparks all over the Yellowhead, and pretty much any other road I’d assume. I trashed my front lip too, it’s pretty cracked and chipped up from crappy Edmonton roads :roll:
I probably scrape about a half dozen times a day. I’ve had to weld me muffler back together twice already, my pipe that runs under my diff is kinda flat now, and my front lip is pretty much thrashed cuz it only sits about 1.5" of the ground. All my heat sheilding on my exhaust is pretty thrashed as well. I even have scrape marks on my frame but I don’t know how I could’ve hit that.
My frame scrapes if i hit a big enough bump.
But lucky me i have some original Japanese welded skid plates.
Still hate it when i hit.
I scrape every day at least once. My 240 is dropped really low and i looked under it the other day and my oil pan is dented to hell! My exhaust hits all the time too and makes a spark show under my car. And dont even get me started on speed bumps, doesnt matter how slow i go, all i hear is SCCCRRAAAAPPPPPEEEEEEE!!! They are my enemy.
