So my moms 350Z needed new tires for the stock rims and I have to wait until I can get her some; hence I figured why not toss the drift beater rims off my race car onto it. She dont mind it too bad either but is afraid to curb them in the drive-throughs.
The problem was they would not fit on the because quarters would sit on the tires since the rims/tires were too wide, and I had a pair of unfinished drift tires to toss on, one tire mounted in reverse cause it barely had any thread left on the other side, meh.
Ok they had to be blasted, but it wasnt too bad, Toyo T1R 235/40/18’s on Weds Sport Kranze 18 x 11 -15.
Now is this safe ? Thats what the shop was trying to tell me. I ripped them high speeds on a closed safe property, cornered at the top of 4th, drifted and did burnouts on them, the tires did NOT blow up or pop off at 45psi (thats what i keep my normal tire pressure at for this tire-tire dependant). These are reinforced sidewall steel belted tires. So as long as your on this wagon you should be safe. Have fun and dont be afraid to stretch.
