how to have sleepy eyes when your lights are on?

okay, MODs, before you lock this thread, note that i’ve searched the
forum, found the FAQ, (also found a guy that posted a question about this
and got locked lol)

Okay, so i read about the brown wire mod somewhere and did that, (on this
forum it talks about the green wire mod) lol… lame to call it mod but we’ll
just call it that.

I can get my flip ups to b lazy eyed when the lights are off but when my
lights are on, i can’t put’em half way. I’m not going to be driving with them half way, i know that’s pretty stupid but i was wondering if there was any way
to do it so that it’d stay in middle even when my headlights are on.

easiest way to do it, is a solenoid and new lever arms. trying to mess with the limit servo of the OEM electronics is useless, time consuming and more expensive then redoing the whole setup.

dude just buy a toggle switch from canadian tire for like 3bucks and wire it into the fuse box under ur dash for the head lights then when ur lazy eyes are up flick the switch and the power will be trinsfered to ur head lights there for ur sleepy eyes will light up

i think heatw mite have a headlgiht adjuster unit old school jdmshit, not to sure he will sell it but u can try :slight_smile:

any of those ricer hacks or the pivot controller don’t work, you sit there like some clown ass flicking a switch really fast just to get the right height or having to redial in a height that is never quite the same for both lights… even then as soon as a cop sees you driving around with your lights 1/2 up and the lens pointing into your bumper you’ve got a nice unsafe vehicle ticket.

Do it right or don’t do it at all, thats the ONLY way to keep the cops off your ass and to improve public opinion of ‘tuners’.

on the left hand side there is the pop up button.

Take it out and cut the brown wire.

Turn ur lights on.

Push the pop up button, and turn the lights off.

Now turn the lights off.

Ur lights will now be in the up position. Double click the pop up button on the left side of ur steering wheel. The lights will drop slowly. Keep doing it untill the desired height is found.

This is the easiest way to do it. By cutting the brown wire u are stopping from your lights to be able to go up when u hit the pop up button. Thats why u turn ur lights on so ur lights go up first. Ive done this on both my S13s and its the cheapest solution and ur lights will always work.

That’s how i have it set up, the brown wire, and i even put a toggle switch
in series, the problem is, when the lights are on, and i push on the pop up
button, it won’t go down

that’s a pretty good idea, you know what colour the wire is?
i haven’t checked it with my own eyes but i’m guessing as soon
as the wire comes off the fuses, they’re tied together as a bundle
and it’s going to be hid somewhere, buried in the middle…

just pull the fuse.
if you get a pivot headlight controller your lights will go up when you turn them on.

lol nah, this is the only rice thing that’s gonna b on the car
cuz i’m trying to keep my car a “sleeper” literally…(sleeper as in like stock looking and sleeper as in a car that sleeps? lol

stock muffler, unmatching fender(colour’s a bit off) mayb 1" lower than stock height stock rims,
and i’ll b packing a ka24de , bore, stroke, cams, forged pistons, turbo(dunno wut yet) with theee loudest bov so whoever ricer flies me by is gonna feel stupid… well that’s the plan anyways
