Edit: Depending on where I was coming from, sometimes I just went through Loudonville to 378 instead of having to deal with 90 and/or 787 traffic.
I always took 90 to the Defreetesville exit. I never really sat in traffic.

saran wrap over the sticky part… affix to window using scotch tape.
I used to use transparency sheets, stick to the parking stick to that then tape it on my window.
