Hurricane Gustav

where will it hit?
how much will gas prices increase because of it?
did the Russians invent a weather machine and send this at us?
is New Orleans ready?
:gotme:
:ohnoes:

lol…

1- the coast line
2- + $6
3- no, it was the chinese
4- TBA

I went to high school with a kid named Gustavo. Good fighter.

Just sayin…

Anyone: is it going to hit Corpus Christi?

If it destroys NO again, no more tax dollars for rebuilding. We’ll help you move somewhere that isn’t below sea level and surrounded by water on 3 sides, but we won’t help you rebuild below sea level.

As for where will it actually hit, no one really knows yet. Here’s the overlay of what all the different computer models are predicting:

Photobucket blocked at work?

If so, go over to www.hurricanealley.net and check out the storm tracks for yourself. I’m not going to steal their image links because they’re a small site with EXCELLENT info that gets hammered any time a hurricane heads toward the US.

yes.

thanks.

NO is already getting worried.

I’m sure 1/2 of the stupid people there won’t evacuate though but will still bitch that it’s not their fault when they spent days sitting on their roof surrounded by floods.

And it wasn’t the Russians or China that created this storm, it was George Bush as a goodbye gift for all the black people he hates.

IB4 MORE OIL SPECULATION… Am I too late?

It will not be anywhere near as dangerous and destructive as Katrina. The uber warm water is lacking from the equation.

FOR THE RECORD:

word. im guessing strong Cat 3 at landfall.

i’m hoping it surpasses Katrina.

is that so wrong?

Current gulf water temps are in the low to upper 80’s.

I believe the water temps are around historic averages for the gulf, whereas they were much above for Katrina.

yeah i think current water temps are about 4-6 degrees lower than Katrina water temps.

Here’s the temps from around the Gulf:

I also found this but was unable to verify their data:

Finding historical water temp info for the gulf isn’t as easy as I thought it would be.

My housemate just signed up for relief effort. Fema is getting as many EMTs to sign up as possible.
